Visual learners on memorization

Memorization techniques, tips and advices can be found everywhere. Probably there are just so many things you’ve already read off from books, magazines and of course the Internet but then there is always some methods that apply better for you which may not work for others. Whichever the case, your imagination plays a big part in getting your memorization tasks done for you. Visual learners benefit greatly from using memorization techniques that pertains to imagination and creativity. Since visual learners can manage to create and rely on a mental image that they retain in the brain, it is strongly encouraged for them to stick to this side of their imagination. It’s even better for visual learners to create a wild or silly scenario or a movie. It doesn’t have to be perfect, even silly or hilarious ideas are accepted for this kind of purpose. The purpose for one to memorize effectively has got something to do with the approach he uses; so even if it’s just a series of spontaneous mental images, as long as it stirs the imagination amusingly, it’s fine. When you already have a sequence of mental images, then you can start playing it back and forth in your mind until you familiarize yourself with its details and sequence. If visual learners can create a short movie, so they can also make use of stories. These are still mental stories that can be created from words you’re not familiar with. This is also applicable for memorizing words; an example would be words in a list or even words from a poem. For these types of instances, a mnemonic approach called the journey system would be applicable. Let’s say you have several items needed in a list, let’s use several items you have in your own room since it’s the place in your heart closest to you (assuming it is). Pretend the items below are the things you need: Glass jars, thread, comb, paintbrushes, and a masscara Upon getting up in the morning, you look at your bedroom window and a number of glass jars hangs as curtains and then you try to fix your blanket which is made of thread. Next, you face your bathroom mirror and chooses from a hundred selection of comb displayed on the wall. As you wash your face, you turn the handle of your faucet which is made of paintbrush. Lastly, just before you go out of your room, you pick up your brush your teeth with toothbrush that looks just like a masscara.

The healing presence of god s love

God's love as a healing presence in the world is growing stronger daily. Many people are not yet able to perceive this growing presence of light, because there also exists at this time a thick cloud of negative energy that is surrounding the Earth. This acts to obscure both the perception and the consciousness of people, and to create feelings of isolation and despair. These feelings are not the spiritual reality of this time; they are produced by the presence of much negative energy in the atmosphere of the Earth which has not yet been transformed. There are some ways that you can attune your consciousness at this time, to be able to open your heart more fully to experience and receive more of God's healing presence and light. As you reach out to God and open to divine love, you not only nourish yourself, but you will also support your fellow human beings on the Earth by holding a presence of light and love. This has a powerful effect on the world and on all those around you. It has been said that God's love can heal all. This is a spiritual reality, which restores a soul to their original purity and divine essence. All that has been out of harmony with God's love is released and transformed. This healing process is happening not only for individuals but for humanity as a whole at this time. There is a growing understanding among many people on the Earth that there is much change happening in the world, and that there is a need for people to come together to solve the problems of the world. This awareness is one of the first signs of an awakening humanity that will one day fully know and feel and experience the presence of God's love as a living reality. God's love can be not only felt in your awareness, but also can now be felt tangibly in many sacred places on the Earth. God's love can also be felt radiating from the hearts and minds and bodies of many spiritual healers, lightworkers and teachers who are present on the Earth to assist humanity in this awakening process. There are two ways that you can begin to feel and receive more of the healing presence of God's love in your life. One is to take a few minutes each day to quietly meditate, pray, spend time in nature, or simply sit and breathe. As you do this regularly, with the deep prayer and intention to open your awareness to receive more of God's love, your awareness and perception will open and you will begin to experience yourself in a new way. The other way that you can begin to more fully experience God's love is to join with other souls in prayer, meditation, worship, or spiritual practice. There are many ways to experience God's love, and the form of the spiritual gathering is not important. What is important is that you choose a group, spiritual path or religious practice that you feel connected with, that uplifts, refreshes and restores you. In any spiritual gathering, the participants must put aside their own personal concerns for a time and focus on God. When a group of people does this, the healing effect is profound, and benefits not only the participants but also the Earth itself and all beings that are nearby, experiencing the radiance of love and light that is generated from such a sacred gathering. At this time on the Earth when there is much suffering, all that you do to bring greater love and light into the world is of benefit to humanity. Even the small, simple thoughts and actions that no one but God sees are significant, for all your thoughts and actions contribute to the magnificent web of life and consciousness of which you are a part. In uplifting and transforming your own consciousness, you are participating in a much larger event which is the transformation and healing of all of humanity. We give thanks for your work, your love, your prayers and your faith.

Misunderstandings about depression

“ They canceled ‘Wedding Belles.’ Boy, am I depressed.” “The price of gas is really depressing me.” “I’m turning 40 next month. What a depressing thought.” Go ahead and add your own cry of pain to the list, and then stop and ask why, if you are truly clinically depressed, you were watching a TV series as light an frothy as “Wedding Belles”, or driving around trying to save $.02 per gallon, or were even able to think as far ahead as next month. The words “depressed” and “depression” are undoubtedly two of the most carelessly used in the English language. They are tossed about like bowling pins at a juggling competition, by those who understand very little about depression. Perhaps one reason that the facts about depression are so poorly misunderstood is that those who think they might be suffering from it are afraid of being stigmatized as whiners and complainers. So they neither talk to anyone about depression nor seek treatment for it. Depression Vs. The Blues True depression can surface in many ways, and have many underlying factors, but all diagnosed cases of clinical depression have one thing in common--their duration. Depression is not the same as having the blues for a few weeks when a friend moves away or beating up on yourself because someone else got the promotion you were after. It’s perfectly natural, and even healthy, to have negative reactions to those kinds of experiences, but if you can continue on with your daily life and feel good about other things, you are not depressed. The most significant things about depression is that it lasts for at least three months, and even if the sufferer is able to overcome one bout, others a certain to occur. Those who are able to talk about depression with a medical professional will find that their emotional paralysis and inability to take any interest in their lives, or even-self loathing, are all classic symptoms and sure indications that they are clinically depressed. Another thing about depression is that, if left untreated, it can cause the victim’s emotional and even physical health to deteriorate dangerously. Depression normally begins as the”blahs”, when someone may just feel mentally fuzzy and not have much physical energy. At this stage a person who does not know much about depression may thing he or she is coming down with a cold or the flu, or just needs a break for the normal routine. For more info see treatdepressionhelp/Symptoms_Of_Depression on Symptoms Of Depression. Depression May Be Hard To Recognize If that person’s family or friends also lack information about depression, and especially if the person is normally laid-back, they may not notice much difference until the person has become so withdrawn that it is obvious something is wrong. If you think you might be becoming clinically depressed, you owe it to yourself to get information about depression as soon as your can.

Long term motivation can be difficult but why

Motivation is defined as, why people do what they do. Long-term motivation can be difficult when you do not make yourself stick to your goals. Most people make goals, but those who are successful have the discipline and drive to achieve their goals and dreams. Different things motivate people. Some are driven by internal or intrinsic motivation. Others need extrinsic motivation, or outside forces, to help them stay on track. One easy way to help you achieve your goals is to make a contract with yourself and work hard to stick to it. Sign it, date it and keep track of it. The first step in making a contract with your self to stay motivated is to make an outline. When you make an outline in your contract, you will list long-term goals, short-term goals, payoffs and benefits, rewards and a detailed action plan. By having everything you need to know about achieving your goals, you will stay motivated. Before making this outline, take some time and think about what exactly you want to accomplish. Maybe you want to reorganize your home, or maybe you want to try out a new fitness plan. Perhaps you want to go back to school and finish a degree. Whatever it is, you will need to do some research and understand each step you will need to accomplish. When you list your long-term goals, you will make a list of the things you want to achieve within one to three years. Try to be very specific so you will know exactly what you are working towards. If you want to lose thirty pounds, your long-term goals will be to lose the weight through diet and exercise. Your long-term goals will be your final end result that you are working towards. This works for almost any goal and will help you in staying focused and motivated to reach your goals. Short-term goals will be things that you want to accomplish within weeks or months. If you are working on going back to school, your short-term goals may be to request school applications and catalogs or to talk to a financial aid office about your payment options. Your short-term goals should be specific and should be something that you can accomplish in a short amount of time. Short-term goals are also important because once you finish one goal; you will feel motivated by knowing you are one step closer in reaching that long-term goal. Your next step in making a contract with yourself is to list payoffs and benefits of your goals and achievements. While losing weight is a benefit, you will want to list the reason why you want to lose weight. Maybe the payoff is fitting into a certain size jeans again or looking great for an upcoming reunion. Maybe it is because you want to better your health by losing weight. Again, you should be specific when you set these benefits in your contract because it will help you stay motivated. Now you can think about rewards. Rewards are important when you are setting goals for yourself. When you think about rewards, think about the fun things that you will accomplish by reaching your goals. Lose that weight and buy a new dress. Reorganize you house and get a new couch. Whatever you think it the best part about reaching your goals, use that as a reward to help stay motivated. The last part in setting a contract with your self is to have a specific action plan. An action plan will tell you what steps you need to take to reach your final goal. It is here that you will list what you need to change, do, or accomplish in a day, a week, a month or a year. This action plan will help keep you motivated to reach your end goal. List your action plan and keep it in mind everyday you are working towards your goal. When you take the time to make an official contract with yourself, you will stay motivated and ready to reach your goals. It will be easier when you can see your long and short-term goals in writing and know what rewards and benefits are waiting for you along the way. Your action plan will help you stay on track when you are working hard to accomplish your goals and dreams.

Ets surgery a cure for problem blushing or a waste of money

Those with blushing problems are often desperate to find a cure for their excessive blushing. Many people are turning to a medical treatment called Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy, frequently referred to simply as ETS, for help with their problem blushing. At first glance, ETS seems like a miracle treatment for problem blushers. Those who market and perform ETS tout the procedure as a an almost guaranteed cure to excessive blushing. For people who have invested time and money in numerous treatments such as hypnosis, cognitive behaviour therapy, and numerous potions and pills, the thought of being done with problem blushing once and for all is certainly an appealing one. However, upon further investigation, the risks and side effects of ETS seem quite consequential. Before anyone decides to pursue ETS as potential medical intervention for problem blushing, he or she certainly needs to thoroughly research all aspects of the procedure. Since blushing is triggered by the nervous system, ETS actually impacts the nerves. The procedure literally involves either clamping off or cutting the nerves responsible for the blushing reaction. While problem blushing is a serious problem for people who experience it, deliberately damaging nerves as part of a medical procedure to cure blushing is certainly not something to be taken lightly. Nerve damage is permanent and irreversible, so those who are considering the procedure must be sure they understand exactly what they are doing, and have a clear picture of the potential side effects and consequences. The nerves in the human body are all interconnected, so it is not possible to deliberately damage specific nerves without impacting other nerves in the body as well. Therefore, there are a number of side effects that people who undergo ETS can expect to experience. The nervous system is very complex, and ETS can trigger both hyper sensitive nerves in some parts of the body and nerves that are completely desensitized in other parts of the body. Additional side effects can include decreased lung capacity, decreased stamina, trouble with regulation of body temperature, and compensatory hyperhidrosis. It is also important to note that ETS has actually been banned in a number of countries. The procedure was actually developed in Sweden, but can no longer be conducted in that country. As a safety precaution, the Swedish government banned the procedure in response to complaints filed by a large number of patients who experienced disability following the procedure. Other countries are investigating the consequences of ETS, and are voicing concerns regarding the safety of the procedure. In Finland, the Office for Health Technology Assessment, conducted a review and concluded that there is strong evidence in support of negative side effects associated with ETC. In Taiwan, the procedure cannot be performed on individuals under twenty years of age. Fortunately, such drastic measures as damaging your nerves through ETS are not the only hope for putting a stop to problem blushing once and for all. There are natural methods available that can help you stop blushing once and for all. Don’t resort to having a treatment that damages your nerves when there is a very real possibility to putting a permanent stop to your problem blushing behaviour the natural way.

What is trypanophobia are you afraid of injections

The fear of injections is called trypanophobia. This is not too uncommon. This fear can be related to needle phobia which is actually the fear of needles, only it involves actual penetration through the skin. This was officially recognized as a specific phobia in 1994 in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, 4th edition. Types of Trypanophobia Since trypanophobia is broadly classified as a fear of injections, there are actually four forms of this fear of injections. The four forms of trypanophobia are vaso-vagal, associative, resistive and hyperalgesic. Vaso-Vagal Trypanophobia A majority of the trypanophobes are classified under vaso-vagal. These are the people who have a fear of feeling, seeing or even thinking about needle-like objects. There are several changes that can occur because this fear of injections. Normally, the physical effects that they experience their blood pressure decrease or fainting. Physiological changes include panic attacks, sweating, nausea, ringing in their ears, feeling faint or turning pale at the moment that they are injected. The dangerous thing about this is the fact that it can actually kill a person. This is because it can greatly and directly affect your heart rate and blood pressure which can cause severe shock leading to death. Associative Trypanophobia This type of fear of injections is the next most common trypanophobia. The needle phobes affected by this type is around 30%, while Vaso-Vagal trypanophobes are averaging about 50%. This is cause by a traumatic experience with a needle, directly or indirectly involving the trypanophobe. It could have occurred during a medical procedure that was extremely painful, or by witnessing someone who went through a painful event dealing with injections. Associative trypanophobia is more of a psychological illness than physiological. The person classified under this type of fear of injections is more likely to feel anxiety and panic attacks. There are instances where they can be preoccupied with upcoming procedures dealing with getting injected, even leading to insomnia. Resistive and Hyperalgesic Trypanophobia These last two types of fear of injections take up the rest of the 30% of needle phobes, with resistive trypanophobia at 20% and hyperalgesic at 10%. Resistive trypanophobia involves fear of injections but also being restrained or controlled. This normally comes from poor handling of needle procedures or repressive upbringing with forced restraint. Someone who has been deemed “hysterical” might experience this if they have to be handled in a forceful manner by being given a sedative via syringe. Hyperalgesic is the fear of injections that does not really involve faring the actual needle. A person with this fear has probably inherited hyperalgesia which is extreme sensitivity to pain. The thought of getting an injection is extremely unbearable to them, let alone experiencing it. Through Hypnosis Overcoming fear like this is one accomplishment and with the option of hypnosis, one should be able to get over the fear of injections. The process of hypnosis is by changing the way one is thinking and relaxation means to provide the necessary solution.

Mission impossible or is it

“No one ever gets far unless he accomplishes the impossible at least once a day.” Elbert Hubbard At all times we are making a conscious effort to make and create. It never stops. We can't help it! Sometimes we don't know what we want to make and create so we just do things to mark time. At other times what we want might seem beyond our capabilities and way out of reach. My question today is: is what you want really 'Mission Impossible?' I like to play with words. Fiddling with impossible I discovered, with a little thought and creativity, that I could take impossible and create something much more satisfying. Through thought and a little punctuation tinkering I came up with - I'M POSSIBLE. The difference between 'impossible' and 'I'm possible' then is a tweak in my thoughts - in this case an inverted comma and space. Funnily enough what often lies between the 'impossible' and 'I'm possible' is the same sort of tweak in thought - shifting the reality from what you see to what you don't see. When I'm being 'impossible' I see things working out wrong, me as a failure, things being hard and frustrating. Loneliness. When I'm being 'I'm possible' I see rich sea of resources, people lending me help, easiness, a fun experience with eventual success. I've learned that I prefer the 'I'm possible' option, so I tend to start with this in mind, but sometimes the 'impossible' does creep back in. What make the 'impossible' thoughts evaporate more than anything is having a true sense of purpose. With a true sense of purpose it is easier to access resources, find people who want to help and enjoy the ride of life more because an ever increasing conviction of who you are and what you want comes into focus. Once we know purpose we can expand into it. Expansion is constant. It's all very well if you know you're purpose, but expanding into it and filling it is another matter entirely. A therapist might say, 'I have a full practice, I don't want any more clients.' In this sense purpose stops expanding. But if the healer thinks less about time and money and more about the people being denied their healing treatments, expansion might continue. They might learn to empower clients through talks and books, rather than through one-to-ones. In parenting it is no different. We want happy children. When we're being 'impossible' we see fights between siblings, and conflict between parents and children. When being 'I'm possible' we seek ways to bring unity and harmony into the home and discover coaches, friends or books that can help. Money is the same. When we're being impossible we might say 'I can't afford this.' Often we'll use money as an excuse for not doing something. We'll procrastinate, run away or even destroy good opportunities. When we're being 'I'm possible' we'll explore money, understand it and learn to work with it rather than treat it like a bad dog. Other aspect of life - growing a business, deepening your relationships, saving the planet are no different. All it takes is a shift in thought. Today's question: Is what you want really 'Mission Impossible?' Change what you see. tweak your thoughts, find the resources. The opportunities, the changes POSSIBLE are exciting. Love and good wishes Neil

Hypnosis helps cure your jealousy

Jealousy doesn’t often seem unreasonable at first. Your partner or spouse stays late at work for the twelfth time this month. You decide to give them a call, just to see if they want something special when they return home, and there is no answer. You weren’t suspicious before, but the answering machine at the other end gives you a nagging doubt. That doubt begins to grow when your partner returns home late into the night complaining about all of the tough work they have been doing at the office. You can try to reason away the issue; perhaps he/she went out to grab a bite or a cup of coffee when you called. Maybe he/she was on the phone with an important call and didn’t pick up. A week later you notice that your partner left their email account open on your home PC. Just to be sure, you think; no real suspicions, but it wouldn’t hurt to check. In some cases, the jealousy spins so out of control that violence in the home is a product. This is how the jealousy spins out of control. What starts out as small, panging, doubts grows into intrusive violations of privacy. You can sneak a look at email, at all of those text messages, in pockets and clothing doing laundry, and suddenly whether true or not, your jealousy crosses the line into becoming something threatening, in and of itself, to your relationship. If your partner discovers your treachery, they may become quite disheartened and suspicious themselves. Those feelings, they started out reasonably enough, but how can you keep them under control? Many people feel helpless in this situation and turn to drugs, alcohol and other ways of blocking the feelings. Therapy and hypnotherapy are a way to resolve some of these feelings without turning to unhealthy channels. The practice of hypnosis and hypnotherapy has helped many cope and deal with jealousy. Internationally renowned Licensed Hypnotherapist Terry Doherty works one-on-one with patients throughout Europe offering personally tailored-programmes to treat the range of problems associated with jealousy. His clients offer rave reports of the success achieved by his unique methods. He incorporates hypnosis with personal exploration that allow you to get to the root of your issues and problems. Terry can give you the tools that will help you reconcile the initial pangs of jealousy so that you can deal with them constructively and in a healthy manner. During your sessions, you may work with visualisation, picturing and feeling how you want to be. This can lead to increased confidence and self-esteem. These positive thoughts and improved self-image will make you better able to cope with situations where your jealousy previously might have twisted out of control, and dissolve those horrible feelings. These positive thoughts will help you not only in the relationship aspect of your life, but in other areas as well. Instead of focusing all of your energy and thought on your relationship and jealousy you have time and energy to focus on your career, your hobbies, and your interests.
